You use the Details panel to edit or update settings for a Customer Assistant application.
Details panel settings are described in the following table:
|Application Name||The name of the application.|
|Description||A brief description of the application.|
|Channel Type||The channel that will be used to run the application.|
|Application Key||A read-only identifier used externally to invoke the application. It is defined automatically in the Admin Console when an application is added. For details on how to re-generate this key, click here.|
|Active||Indicates whether the application is currently active. The application key of an inactive application is disabled, and users are unable to access Flows.|
|Internal Timeout||The period of time (in seconds) during which the client can send requests without the need for revalidation of the access token by the authorization server.|
|Client Authentication Scheme||Select from Query Parameters or or Header Parameters. This value is provided by the 3rd party authorization server, at the time of client registration.|
|Authentication Scheme||Select from Query Parameters, Form Parameters or Header Parameters. This value is provided by the 3rd party authorization server, at the time of client registration.|
|Scope||The set or types of data that may be retrieved by the access token.|
|Grant Type||Authorization Code is supported.|
|Token Name||The access token name used by the authorization server. To use the default value (access_token), leave this parameter blank.|
|Modified On||The last date and time that changes were made to this Application.|
|Modified By||The last Admin who made changes to this Application.|
|Session Timeout (in minutes)||The period of time for which an idle Flow (not being navigated by the user) is still considered active. After the Session Timeout is reached, the Flow is considered abandoned, and if the user attempts to continue it, an error message is displayed.
The default Session Timeout value is 30.
Client Settings Tab
This tab displays settings that define the default functionality of the application. For more information, see Client Settings for Applications.
Connectivity Settings Tab
This tab enables configuration of the following various customer connectivity service options, including Call Now, Chat, Call Return and Send Email. For more information, see Connectivity Settings for Applications.
This tab enables you to customize the UI display for the application. For more information, see Customizing the UI for an Application.
This tab enables you to trigger selected Service Flows whenever a specific Event occurs while the application is running. For more information, see Using Application Events: Overview.
Editing Customer Assistant Settings
- From the Applications page, click the desired Application Name. The selected Application Details page is displayed, with the Details tab displayed by default.
- At the right upper corner of the page, click Edit. The Applications fields become editable.
- Update settings in the Details tab, as required.
- Update settings in the Client Settings tab, as required. For more information, click here.
- Update settings in the Connectivity Settings tab, as required. For more information, click here.
- Update the Events tab, as required. For more information, click here.
- At the top right corner of the page, click Save. A confirmation message is displayed, and the Applications page opens.
