As an Interact Flow grows bigger and more complex, it can sometimes be challenging to view the layout or navigate between its parts. Here are some techniques for organizing and controlling the display of your Flow elements.
Arranging the Layout
All the pages, navigation logic elements and connectors that you add to the Flow are displayed on the Flow map. Control the layout of the elements by manually dragging and dropping the symbols to different locations on the screen. When you add a connector, the connected pages automatically align.
If the element layout becomes too unwieldy and difficult to follow, click the Auto Arrange icon in the main toolbar to instantly organize the visual Flow map into a logical alignment. The following example shows an Flow map before and after it is auto arranged:
Note: To arrange the layout manually, make sure that the Auto Arrange toggle is disabled (not orange).
Navigating the View
If your Flow is large and complex, you can use the following methods to navigate the view or find a specific element in the Flow map:
- To minimize or enlarge your view of the Flow map, use the Zoom slider or + and - icons at the bottom left of the map.
- To see a different section of the Flow, click anywhere on the map and drag the canvas until the desired map portion appears in view.
- If you are unable to visually locate a specific component in a large Flow, use the Elements tab in the Solution Explorer tool to search for it. For details, click here.
The Web Designer remembers your last Zoom and screen position when you reopen your Flows.
