Since protecting the information provided by your customers is a top priority, Jacada Interact includes a number of capabilities that allow for safeguarding of sensitive data. The Security Settings page displays options related to protection of credit card numbers. When these options are enabled, the system scans information that is provided by customers and identifies patterns that are consistent with credit card number formats. These pieces of data are automatically masked, and only the masked information reaches the Interact Servers.

The following settings are available:

  • PAN Filter: Scans data that is provided directly by a user (for example, answers to input questions). Sensitive data is filtered and masked before being sent to the Interact Server.
  • Mask Credit Card Info: Scans data that is generated by logic within the Interaction, e.g., through Integration Points, application extensions, and so on. Sensitive data is filtered and masked before being audited to the database.

The scan involves a search for patterns consistent with the following credit card formats:

  • Visa
  • Southwest Rapid Rewards
  • MasterCard
  • Discover
  • American Express
  • Diners Club

By default, the out-of-the-box setting for both PAN Filter and Mask Credit Card Info is Yes. If you would like to change the default settings, please contact Jacada Support.
