The following sections explain how to add language packages, set the default language package, and delete language packages that are no longer needed.

Adding a Language Package

Adding a language package involves selecting the language, and specifying how content in that language will be created.

To add a language package:

  1. From the Interaction menu, select Multilingual Support.
    The Multilingual Support dialog opens.
  2. At the bottom of the dialog, click Add.
The Add Supported Language popup opens.

  3. From the Select a language dropdown list, select the required language.
  4. Select one of the following radio buttons:
    • Duplicate Default Language: A layer is added to the Language List of each Interaction element, to accommodate the new language. Content in the Interaction elements is copied, but remains in the default language. This content then needs to be replaced by translated content.
    • Use empty content: A layer is added to the Language List of each Interaction element, to accommodate the new language. Content in the Interaction elements is empty, and needs to be filled with content in the new language.
  5. Click Add.
The Add Supported Language popup closes, and the new language is added to the languages list.

Changing the Default Language Package

The default language package is English. The Set Default feature allows you to change the default language to any language package that has been added.

To change the default language package:

  1. From the Multilingual Support dialog, select the language to be designated as the default.
The Set Default button is enabled.
  2. Click Set Default.
    A confirmation popup opens.

  3. From the popup, click Yes.
The selected language is set as the default language package, and is listed first in the languages list.

Removing a Language Package

The Remove feature enables you to delete language packages that are no longer relevant to your Designer environment.

Note: The language package that is set as the default cannot be removed.

To delete a language package:

  1. From the Multilingual Support dialog, select the language to be removed.
    The Remove button is enabled.
  2. Click Remove.
The selected language is removed from the languages list.
